A biography/family history of Christian Prestbye is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 2, page 628 Parents: Abraham & Edel Prestbye, natives of Norway. Christ and his brother, Martin, immigrated to the US in 1885, came to Butte, MT, and later settled on farms near Kalispell, MT. Christ married Matilda Christensen, (ca. 1890) a native of Norway, and daughter of Christen and Marie Helgerude. Prestbye children: Abraham, b. 1891; Emin, b. 1893; Grant, b. 1895. Christian died, 18 Dec 1940, age 77, Kalispell, MT Martin died, 10 Dec 1948, age 88, Kalispell, MT Mathilda died, 3 Sep 1942, Age 87, Kalispell, MT I am not related.
