I am searching for information on James Monroe Mathews/Mathis b.1818/1819 either in N.C. or Choctaw Co., Ala. According to the 1860 Census he was born in N.C., but family says Ala. He married 1st Mary/Martha Walker b.Ga. and 2nd Caroline V. Moore b.1837 Va. James had a 1/2 brother George Washington Mathews/Mathis b.1825 Ms., he married Mary Malitta Palmertree in Choctaw Co., Ms. Any information would be greatly appreciated, Sandra
