Belmont – Mary Alice Montgomery Moore, 89, died July 3, 2009, at her residence. She was born Aug. 18, 1919, in Itawamba County to the late G. C. “Cebie” and Tula Wood Montgomery. She was a homemaker, retired bookkeeper for the family business and a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church. Services were July 6 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont withburial in the Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors included one daughter, Ann M. Tucker (Jim) of Corinth; two sons, Doyle L. Moore (Betsy) of Saltillo and Lloyd L. Moore (Pam) of Belmont; one sister Vera A. Montgomery of Golden; three grandchildren, Blakley Moore and Zack Moore, both of Tupelo and Colton Moore of Saltillo; three step-grandchildren, Nick Norris, Dave Norris and Alex Norris, all of Tupelo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Doyle Blake Moore; three brothers, Allen Montgomery, Dr. Dexter Montgomery and Leon Montgomery; three sisters, Edris Greene, Doris Higginbotham and Faye Montgomery.
