Looking for info on my Shaw family.
Samuel Crawford b. Dec 19, 1816 S.C/Alabama d. Aug 4, 1884 m. Sarah Celesten Thompson approx. 1850 in Oktibbeha Co. b. Feb14,1833
Their son James Walter Archie Shaw b. Sep 12, 1852 Oktibbeha Co. m. Julia Anna Hawkins Dec 12, 1858. She was the daughter of Joseph Malone Hawkins and Julia Ann Hodges.
We are especially looking for which state Sam was actually born in and who his parents were. It is said his father lived to be 108 years and his mother was Choctaw. Some family recalls growing up along the Tombigbee River between MS and Alabama. Samuel is said to be buried in Loller's Cemetery / Lollars Grove Cemetery. Where might this cemetery be located? We also know that James W. A.'s family moved by wagon train to Oklahoma sometime between 1890 and 1900. James had a brother named Robert Gideon "Gid" and a sister named Mary Elizabeth Caledonia "Donnie". James and Julia Shaw had several children that were born in Webster County. Can ayone connect with these families? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
