Jerry Wade Thorn, 39, of Plantersville, died Jan. 10, 1989 at the NMMC in Tupelo after an extended illness. He was a native of Lee County and he formerly lived in Memphis before moving to Plantersville three years ago. He was a licensed practical nurse ar the Methodist Hospital South in Memphis. He was a Baptist. Services were Jan. 12 in the Funeral Chapel of W.E. Pegues with burial in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors included his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Thorn of Plantersville; one brother, Russell Thorn of the Kirkville Community; his grandmothers, Mrs. Lula Cathcart of Nettleton and Carra Thorn of Tupelo.
