About 20 years ago, I ordered a booklet from (as best I remember) the National Genealogical Society entitled "Mississippi (Soldiers, Patriots?) in the War of 1812." I donated this book to the Genealogy Section of the Longview Public Library in Longview, TX. I now live in the Houston area, but will try to contact someone from there and get the exact title.

Also, you might enjoy reading John Buchanan's book entitled ANDREW JACKSON AND THE PEOPLE OF THE WESTERN WATERS. It is all about the Creek Wars and the War of 1812. My Steele line in Mississippi (Archibald Buchanan Steele) was mentioned in this book--but brothers of Archibald. It is fascinating reading. Mr. Buchanan also has another book out entitled THE ROAD TO GUILFORD COURTHOUSE. It highlights the Battle of King's Mountain, Francis Marion, and anyone with Revolutionary Soldiers as ancestors who settled in Mississippi would enjoy reading this excellent work. Both books are full of endnotes and sources.
