Darrell Lafayette Leopard, 58, died Jan. 20, 2009, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was a Baptist and worked as a deck hand on a riverboat. He loved his family and friends, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. A graveside service was held at Hopewell Cemetery in Benton County with Magnolia Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Survivors included one son, David Wayne Barnes (Monica) of Ripley; two daughters, Betty Mercer of Walnut and Sheila Sims (Michael) of Ripley; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bobby James Leopard (Peggy) of Drummonds, Tenn., Ronnie Stephen Leopard (Debbie) of Millington, Tenn., Donald Randy Leopard (Tammy) of Covington, Tenn., and Sammy Phil Leopard (Janie) of Munford, Tenn.; and one sister, Sandra Gail Buchanan of Millington, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Andrew and Velma Lee Ellis Leopard; four brothers, Richard Neil Leopard, Danny Drew Leopard, Terry Brent Leopard and Billy Gene Leopard; and two sisters, Shirley Sue Dungan and Wanda Lee Leopard. |
