Here is my theory on the Morgan family of Amelia Co., Virginia and the "Ridley" name connection that exists in the Morgans of VA, NC, SC and KY.

Descendants of Simon Morgan

Generation No. 1
1. SIMON1 MORGAN was born 1685 in Warwick, Virginia, and died 1756 in Amelia County, Virginia. He
married ELIZABETH RIDLEY. She died 1770.
Child of SIMON MORGAN and ELIZABETH RIDLEY is:

i. SAMUEL2 MORGAN, b. 30 Apr 1703, Amelia County, Virginia; d. 1771, Amelia County, Virginia.

2. SAMUEL2 MORGAN (SIMON1) was born 30 Apr 1703 in Amelia County, Virginia, and died 1771 in Amelia
County, Virginia. He married MARY CHAPPELL.

died Aft. 1814 in Pendleton District, South Carolina.
