Alton, Can you save me some steps and tell me/us whether a John More b.c. 1761 NJ m. Catherine, father of John C. More, (NJ 1796-1877), War of 1812, might possibly be of this line or whether we are better off pursuing other lines? I was wondering if these Mores were Scottish or Irish, but I see English should not be ruled out either. A DAR record shows that the family did indeed spell More with one 'o' at the time. Thanks much. |
