Boy now I am really confused!!! Your other posts state that Anna RUSKINKO married George BOICH!!! So which is correct... I think I just wasted a lot of my time on a wild goose chase!!!

Which is correct???

Eli would be Ilija in its original form. Did Eli immigrate to the US? I find one born about 1862 coming from Sosice Croatia (an area where Byzantine Rite Catholics are found) to Cleveland Ohio... where the only Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in N. America is located. We visited Sosice last year on our tour to Croatia. I also recall seeing the 1920/30 census records showing that Joseph and Anna BOICH/BAICH children were born in Ohio.

In regards to the spelling of BOJIC/BOIC... if they were Serbian or Montengren then the name would be spelled in Cyrilic .... Б О Ј И Ћ... so when they got their passports, which would have shown Latin spelling it would have been transcribed but not neccesarily into the Croatian Latin alphabet which would have been BOJIĆ

To find records you need to know what village they were from. FYI Yugoslavia has not exsisted for about 5 years now!
