I am trying to find the parents, and or family of Elisha Monroe. I know his birth date is around 1801 from census reports and that he married Cathrine (Kitty) Walton on 24 Dec 1825 in Campbell, Virginia. Does anyone have information on who his parents might have been? Elisha and Kitty had Martha A. Monroe born 1843 in Pulaski, VA. She married a James A. Sanders. Other children include a David and William Monroe. The last census I found on Elisha and Kitty was 1880 and they were living in De Kalb, Tennessee.
