A biography/family history of John Mohrherr is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 1115 & 1116. Parents: Sebastian and Barbara (Holzmann) Mohrherr, natives of Bavaria. Barbara was the daughter of Augustine Holzmann. Two of the Mohrherr children emigrated to the US: August (Thousand Islands, NY), John (Fairview, MT). In the fall of 1888, at Hamburg, John embarked on the ship Amalfy to the US, passing through Castle Garden to his destination of Germania, PA, where his brother lived. On 7 Nov 1898, Chili, WI, John married Miss Hilde E. Russell, b. Waupun, WI, daughter of John H. and Mary A. (Reinfsnider) Russell. The father was born in Canada but raised in NY. The mother was a native of NY. They both died in Montana in 1915. Mohrherr children: Nevada Maebelle, Esther, Lillian, Lowell, Rosemary, Marguerite, Roderick, Joy. I am not related.
