In the 1920 Almeda Co. CA census, Betty McDonough is living in the household of her grandmother, Annie Beckrich. Betty is shown as being 3 yrs, 3 mos, father b. CA, mother b. MO.
In 1930 Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co. CA, Betty McDonough is age 13, living as a lodger in the home of Myrtle Barnard. Again, Betty's father is listed as born in CA, her mother in MO.
Perhaps the middle initial in the name Gwendolyn E. McDonough is for Elizabeth. It does seem as though the maiden name of Gwendolyn's mother was Stewart.
The full name of Edward McDonough was Edward James McDonough, b. 19 Sep 1891, Santa Barbara CA. This is from the 1942 draft registration. At the time of the registration he was living in Seal Beach, Orange Co. CA, working for California Ship Building Corporation, Terminal Island. The person he indicated would always know where he could be found was Mrs. J. P. Beckrich.
