Seeking any information or strategies to determine the fate of the family of Xavier (Navier) DuBois (born about 1826 in Belgium), his wife Marie (born about 1835 in France), and his family (one son and four daughters, ages 1 to 9) who are found in the 1870 U.S. census in Concord, but probably arrived there from France between 1862 and 1865. Only the widow Marie and an 18 year old daughter Marie are found in Washington DC in the 1880 U.S. census ten years later. What happened to the rest of this family? Did any tradegies befall Concord during this period? Where would I search for the gravesites of Xavier and the rest of the family in this area assuming they died in this area between 1870 and 1880?
