Hello,

I am trying to fill in the blanks. My Line begins with Chauncey Foss and Laura Ursulla Getchell of Marshfield Maine. Chauncey and Laura began the Foss trek in Missouri after 1870. I will add the info below, if anyone can relate or add any additional info please let me know.

I would like to know what possessed Chauncey and Laura to make the trek to Missouri since he was 1 of 7 children. They Parented 5 children in Missouri, I can provide info on them if anyone needs.

Chancis" is the way his first name is spelled in the 1850 Census. Marshfield Maine, Washington County.
In the same census (1850) the last name appears to be spelled "Fofs"
Parents listed as Joseph (W) or (Jr.) possibly (Jr.) due to the fact that there was a Joseph Foss (Fofs) at the age of 82 in the same household
