There are three MOTTs buried in the Mason/Mott Cemetery in Howard County. They are: MOTT, Stokely b 2-21-1797 d 1-19-1884 MOTT, Elizabeth b 1-12-1799 d 9-23-1872 MOTT, Francis W. son of S & E died 3-6-1857 27y, 4m, 23d There are 15 MOTTs buried in Roanoke Cemetery in Howard County. They are: MOTT, Arthur Mitchell b 5-14-1888 d 7-14-1934 MOTT, Mary L. wife of T. H. died 2-19-1889 25y, 6d MOTT, F. Walker 1875-1926 MOTT, Estella M. died 10-13-1883 3y, 27d MOTT, E. Ward b 6-7-1886 son of Thomas H. & Mary Elizabeth Higdon Mott, married Edith Lee Hawkinson 4-12-1908 died 8-29-1960 MOTT, Betty Hayes b 5-30-1889, living in 1990 w/Arthur MOTT, Susie Ova b 10-22-1887 d 8-14-1945 (sister) MOTT, Thomas W. b 9-2-1864 d 10-1-1950 (brother) MOTT, Zerilda 1824-1901 MOTT, T. J. b 8-19-1846 d 2-9-1937 MOTT, Nancy Jane b 9-13-1847 d 9-29-1920 MOTT, Edith H. b 12-30-1890 d 8-17-1986 MOTT, John Robbins b 8-21-1921 d 2-17-1983 married Edith 8-20-1967 MOTT, Patricia Ann living in 1990 MOTT, Mary E. b 11-14-1864 d 8-22-1901 The source of this information is the book Howard County Cemetery Records, compiled by Louise Coutts and Karen Boggs, which came out in 1994. You may want to check Chariton County Missouri. The cemeteries mentioned above are right next to Chariton County. Also, for deaths from 1910-1958 in the State of Missouri, you can check the State of Missouri Secretary of State website, at www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/ and you can get death certificates online there.
