According to Early Extractions by Genealogial Society of Bulter Co. Frank Lade was accused of decoying Perry Snodgrass, a 14 year old into the cornfield and shooting him. There were 15 witnesses Date of newspaper article was
11 November 1903 Wednesday.
1 December 1903, Jesse Snodgrass charged with maliciously shooting some cattle belonging to Frank Lade.
15 December 1903, Trial of Jesse Snodgrass before Judge Babcock resulted being held $500 bond to the Circuit Court
to answer to a charge of shooting cattle.
5 November 1903 Thursday, Frank Lade was arrested today
by Constable Flanigan on a serious charge by B. L. Snodgrass
claiming that Lade decoyed his brothers L. P. and M. E.
Snodgrass into a corn field by ringing a cow bell then
fired upon them with a shotgun with #8 shot. Lade denied the
