I am looking for information concerning an incident that happened during the civil war. Three men, one my great great grandfather, another farmer and a preacher were arrested by Union troops, locked in a log cabin and executed the next morning. My great great grandfather escaped during the night and could not convince the other two men to join him because they said they had know the Union officer in charge all of his life and they did not feel that they were in any danger. The incident occurred somewhere along the salt river.
