My wife's father, Elof Swan Anderson, was the son of a Swedish emigrant, Swan Anderson, who arrived in America in 1883, according to our U.S. Census of 1910. His brother Daniel Anderson arrived three years earlier, 1880. Daniel's obituary gave his date of birth as Sept. 3, 1852, in Blekinge, Sweden. His father was Andrew Danielson; his mother, Ellen. Much less detail is known of my wife's grandfather Swan. His exact DOB, his place of birth remain unknown. He was born in 1864 - that's all we know. He had epilepsy, and his family committed him to the Minnesota State Hospital in Fergus Falls, where he died in the spring of 1913. Both men had settled and raised families in Otter Tail County of Minnesota, farming on acreage in Dane Prairie. This is a shot in the dark, but we are wondering if these names and details connect with any known relatives in Sweden. If so, we would be grateful for any feedback. Thank you.
