John Blackwell was the first regestrar of deeds in Litchfield, MN. He also taught school in the area. Married Mary Jane McGannon. He was born in Cheltenham, Gloucester, England in 1832 and died in Litchfield in 1875. Mary Jane remarried to Mr. Belfroy and had one son. Mary Jane died in Providence, RI. Any info would help.
