I suggest you try Rootsweb's WorldConnect -- http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi -- Type in Mizell, Elijah. Click on First one, it is a match and although they don't have much on him, take a note at the little yellow "View Post-em" Click on it and Sarah Cunningham has added more children. I would get in touch with her see what else she might know. Sometimes comparing and sharing info helps each other. My husband has a Mizell line, but no connection at this point and time to your line. It probably goes back to early NC. They seem to be in Bertie and neighboring Martin Co, NC early on. But, you have a way to go, yet. LOL Do you have a local genealogical society that meets anywhere near you? Check at your local public library. Or, a Family History Center? Getting help from others is always a good idea.
