My great-grandmother was Martha Higginbotham (1872-1938). She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Higginbotham (1839-1875) and Sarah Ann Peterson (1850-c 1905).

Sarah Ann's first husband was James D. Anderson (1842-1870), and they had one child: Minnie Belle Anderson (1868-1921). Sarah's married her third husband, Charles F. Pleasants in Memphis in 1882, and she apparently died in Memphis between 1900 and 1907.

In 1900 in Memphis, Sarah was living with her daughter Minnie and her husband William Angelo Mizell and family. My father was acquainted with one of their daughters: Edith (1894-1959), who married 1) Lonnie Kirby Starrett and 2) Joseph Robert McCaskill.

I'd really like to find out more about Sarah Ann Peterson/Anderson/Higginbotham/Pleasants - specifically, when she died and where she is buried in Memphis. I have her application for James Anderson's Civil War pension, as well as pictures of Sarah's family, including one of her parents, Daniel (1823-1884) and Eliza(Wilson)Peterson (1824-1909).

I would like to contact any Mizell descendant's from William Angelo Mizell and Minie Belle Anderson.
