Van Buren McDonald, (b 7 Sep 1838 d 5 May 1903) He married Ann Eliza Richards(d 27 Feb 1876) who was know as a Mizell (m 1858 Monroe TN). Van married Margaret Simpson. Margaret's Aunt was Nancy Mizell (married to John H Simpson). Possible connection to Ann Eliza. John H Simpson served in the Civil War in 5th Regiment, Tennessee Infantry Organized at Barboursville, KY along with Anthony W C Simpson. Van enlisted in the Union Army in Whitley County,KY. He joined Company K, 5th Regiment, East Tennessee Volunteer Infantry at age 22. Margaret's cousin married Francis P (daughter of Anthony W. C Simpson and Margaret Babb) married John T Stout. Stouts later marry into the McDonald Family. Van Buren McDonald born in 1865 is found in the 1880 Census living near Isaac & Delilah Simpson (again Margaret's relative) with Calvin Mizell (he is some how related to Nancy). Van and Margaret Simpson MCDonald had a daughter Mary Elizabeth MCDonald (b 1890 d 1972-3) that married William Richard Lennex (b 1889 d 1966). Their son Robert Jace Lennox married Lorine Elizabeth Simpson (same Simpson Family). Please contact me if you have more information.
