hi mary.the mystery continues. after going over my papers i have ferdinanda's maiden name as kraft which my wife says is right.as far as steve goes the 1900 census has steve living with the schroeders on superior st detroit. i assumed that he came with them.the latest thing i have now is that there was a joseph b.1825 and marliana b.1826 schroeder that migrated in 1898 and lived with stephen on superior st. that could have been stephen's parents? steve could have came with them? my wife says that my aunt mary told her that clara was given to an aunt and uncle who did not have children. clara was adopted by josef and antonina swieczkowski in 1914.josef was born in 1851 germany migrated 1881? antonina was born 1861 germany migrated 1872? the 1930 census had antonina widow age 69 living with clara. below the manifest you had stephen and ferdinanda age 45 and joseph age 8. joseph was born in germany 1887 and they migrated in 1888. joseph was the only one who was born in germany the rest of the family were born on superior st. it seems that the more research i do i come up with more questions.what were ferdinanda's parents names.how were the swieczkowski's related to stephen and ferdinanda what happened to steve in what way was steve related to the schroeders. why can't i find certain people's port of entry etc. etc. i thank you once again for any help you give me. leroy |
