I found a Harry Earl (1) in Keeler, Van Buren county, Michigan in the 1880 census. Parents are Frank and Leousia.

The Michigan death index ranges from 1867 to 1897. You may need to purchase a death certificate - but you will need the DOD.

REQUESTING A MICHIGAN DEATH RECORD
The Michigan Vital Records office has records of deaths that occurred in Michigan and were
filed with the state since 1867. Some of the records were not filed with the state;
more records are missing from the pre-1916 files. Anyone is eligible to request a copy of
a Michigan death record if the application is completed and signed and the required fee paid.

The next available census is 1900 as the 1890 census burned in 1921. Therefore, add 20 years to anyone's age when searching the 1900 census.
