"A Scrapbook History of Decatur Mich., & Vicinity 1829 - 1976" by Catherine Howland vol. 1 page 31 has copy from newspaper; Van Buren County Tribune, published by C.P. Sweet dated Feb. 20, 1862 22nd issue of the paper; under Business Directory C. T. Baker - physician Almon J. Baker listed as a successful third grade teacher in 1891 page 40. It's a start.
