I have a Martin Stakein buying land in Huron Co Name: MARTIN STAKEIN Land Office: DETROIT Sequence #: 1 Document Number: 38 Total Acres: 160 Misc. Doc. Nr.: 46 Signature: Yes Canceled Document: No Issue Date: May 2, 1870 Mineral Rights Reserved: No Metes and Bounds: No Statutory Reference: 12 Stat. 392 Multiple Warantee Names: No Act or Treaty: May 20, 1862 Multiple Patentee Names: No Entry Classification: Land Description: 1 SW MICHIGAN-TOLEDO STRIP No 16 N 15 E 17 Would anyone know where I could find out what happen to this land after he died..... I have no date of death for him other than he is not found in the 1900 census ...... It might be that the land passed on to other family members of his as he never married and had no known children that I know of.... Found this entry for death and burial of a Mark Stakem who I believe is Martin and it might be that the letters on the stone were worn so the person recording the stones only could figure it might be Mark.. There is no Mark Stakem in the census in Michigan just Martin.... Our Lady of Lake Huron Cemetery Harbor Beach, MI Names taken from the booklet that was compiled by Robert B. LaBelle Port Austin, MI STAKEM MARK ---- ---- M The Martin I am looking for was br Oct of 1834 in Athy Co Kildare Ireland...parents were Matthew and Judith/Julia Stakem nee Bermingham... Thank you for any help anyone can tell me SLC |
