Yes, Jack, Page is my maiden name -- but great-grandfather was Johann August Pehrsson until he crossed the pond, settled in Illinois [ca 1868] and became August Page. No one has ever been able to determine why he decided on "Page." His wife, Maximiliana Charlotta Nikolausdotter, claimed the maiden name Charlotte Anderson. At least that made some sense; her dad was Nikolaus "Nils" Andersson. Needless to say, I'm not related to many American Pages. cpt Omaha
