I bet I met you more than once- but my
memory is getting unreliable, so I need to
see you at the Local History place sometime,
or have coffee at the Broadway Restaurant.
Well I have run into your name, while looking
on the internet for Samuel J. Lincolns
connection to Hannah J. Lincoln.
I've been researching Kingsbury's, Hopkin's,
Turrell's, Wadsworth's, etc., etc..
My neighbor did alot of looking at their
family tree, too, as he is a Wright, and
has Lincoln ties around Vandalia.
I lived a few blocks from Hazel, in Howell Point
(lived there 20 years). Jones Paul Hayden
was a Gr-Grandson of Joseph G. Hayden.
I never heard what his "G." stood for,
unless he took the middile name from their
neighbor, Mr. James Girt.
They did give that as a name to their son ,
James (my Gr-Grandfather), & W.B.'s Brother.
James married Ruth Kingsbury. I never knew
Joseph had a brother, Plarry.(unusual name,too)
I was b: 1948, too. My Grandfather was
the Cass Fo rd dealer, Robert. My Dad
was the N iles F Ord dealer, Joe.
I'm a Jr. -j oseph phillip.
Robert T. married Cora L. Hopkins.
Dad married Nancy B. O'Boyle.
NOW - More about your family...
You married a Wagner from Niles?????
Prestons' wife was who -----?------
So Munsey married Louella Smith (your Mother), a
Daughter of Fred Smith and -----?-------
I went to see Hiram Smith's grave marker the other
day. Its one that is hard to read, so badly
weathered. On Lamb Rd. , between Calvin Hill St
and Bullhand Rd. What they call Shaffer cemetery.
Too much snow to read the surronding stones.
I am using a computer to keep track- I have
a good collection now.
