Hi, I didn't find the parents names, but got the complete birth date and this death record shows his residence as Union Twp., Branch County. So if he died in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, maybe he was visiting or traveling. Union City, is right on the county line of Branch Co. and Calhoun County. If Ehrl was taken to a hospital, it most likely would have been in Battle Creek. Now that you have the complete birth date, and you say he was born in Adrian, why not order the birth certificate which should show the parents names and where they were born. To find his parents names, the 1900 census should have them IF we can find a listing for them in Lenawee co. On the draft registration card, Ehrl R. Crandall, age 21, living at 100 N. Fremont St., Coldwater, MI. Born Dec 9, 1896, in Adrian, MI. His father born Adrian, MI. Ehrl was employed by Wolverine Portland Cement Co., Coldwater, MI. Wife Isabelle Crandall, same residence as Ehrl. Signed by Ehrl R. Crandall. Local Board, Banch Co., Coldwater, MI. dated June 5, 1918. Blue eyes, can't read hair color, either light or dark brown. Registration # 69, Serial No. 69. Your Ehrl R. Crandall and Isabelle are buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy, (Branch Co.) Michigan, listed in the cemetery book. There is a note in the book saying Isabelle is buried in Union City, but transcriptions of the gravestones must have listed her name along eith Ehrl in lot 644.
