FIGHT...ARE THEY RELATED?
My Ichobod S Johnson b abt 1804 Maine, son of unknown parents also born in Maine.
He may be related to the 3 Johnson cousins who were in Capt Lovewell's company of Rangers and fought at Lovewell's Fight 5/8/1725 at what is now Fryeburg, Maine. Ichabod Johnson aged 22, single(4/22/1703-died in the fight, 5/8/1725 and was later buried on the battlefield.
His cousins Sgt Noah Johnson and Josiah Johnson were severely injured and pensioned by the State of Massachusetts for their service. Noah was the only one to have lived on land granted for his service in the area which also borders New Hampshire.
I am seeking any evidence of the 3-4 generations which I estimate between the cousins, 8th generation descendants of Gerard Johnson of England; and possible descendant, Ichobod S Johnson.
The 3 cousins were grandsons of immigrant Capt Edward Johnson.
