Seeking any good, hard evidence on Esther with the ultimate goal of locating her grave if possible. The only reliable evidence of her existence is her marriage to Ephraim Leighton Sr [s/o Benjamin Leighton and Jane Webber] in Rome, Kennebec County, Maine on 23 Nov. 1789.
-- her parents may have been Stephen Tibbetts and Thankful Oates/Otis
-- The Leighton family lived in Rome, Mount Vernon, Augusta and Parkman over time
-- Eight children: Stephen, Henry, Ephraim Jr, Susanna, Esther, Charlotte, Anna B and Isaac, the last child being born in 1811
-- She appears in the 1830 census [Somerset, Maine], but not the 1840
-- Her husband, one son, two daughters and a grandson are buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Augusta, ME
