an Elisha Whitney age 26 is shown in the home of Reuben and Eliza Whitney

On later census (most which are also availabe free at familysearch) Rueben lives next door to Elisha.

Elisha's children in 1860 are shown as:

Carrie born c1854
George born c 1856
Lizzie born c1857

In 1870 he has additional children:
Minnie born c1861
Flora born c1863
John M. born c1866
Maude born c1868
Francis born c1869/70 (may be the same person as Fred-see below)

In 1880 additional children:
Fred born c1870
Lillian born c1872
Bert born c1874
Elisha born c1876
