I am in the van der Linden family, we have a marriage of one of our girls to Elijah (Jay) McMains, married February 7, 1889 in Mahaska County, Iowa. they had 3 children, Vide, born in 1890, Ray or Roy C., born in 1893 and Josie/Jozine/Josephine, born in 1895. Our female was Mary Ann Elizabeth Susan Kate van der Linden (quite a name in those days, but think she went by Mary E. I don't know if they divorced, or he left, but she remarried several times. Linda
