James, I am not sure what info you are looking for so I just looked for Minnie with parents. 1900 CIVIL DISTRICT 9, HICKMAN, TN MCKNIGHT George age 40, farmer, married 18 years, born May 1860 OH both parents born OH Julia , wife, age 30, married 18 years, 7 children born, 7 living, born Jan. 1870 TN both parents born TN Cora, daughter, age 16, born Jan. 1884 TN Edker, son age 12, born April 1888 TN Sofronia, daughter, age 11, born May 1889 TN Minnie, daughter, age 9 born April 1891 TN Sallie, daughter, age 7, born August 1892 TN all children are shown with both parents born Tn, although there father is shown as born OH so looks like the enumerator made a mistake 1880 DISTRICT 9, HICKMAN, TN LOW Andrew J. age 46, farmer born TN father born TN mother born SC Rachel B. wife, age 43, keeping house born TN father born ? mother born TN PINKERTON, Julia, age 11, ward, born TN both parents born TN ** so she was living as a ward with this family - perhaps her parents had died?? I could not find her in 1870 so either she is listed under another first name or she was born too late in the year to be included in the census. As for George there are several George McKnights that could be him in earlier years. Carolyn L
