Larry, You do such a good job tracing down graves, maybe you can help me.
A lady told me she "has a newspaper article someplace, about 1928", telling of a Memorial Day service in memory of Revol. soldiers and indian fighters, Capt. Robt.McKee d. 1814, and
his bro., Sgt. Saml. McKee, d.1780, my grandad. They were neighbors in Hempfield Twp. Westmorland Co. The cemetery was a short ways north of Greenburg. A caretaker would proably know of these graves.
I know nothing of Samuel, sometimes named as one of Davids sons. In the census, he is shown living among all of them, and I know the names of Samls children, but nothing before the year he died. I would love to prove Capt. Robt, (wife Elizabeth) was his brother.
