A book entitled "The McCutcheon (Cutcheon) Family Records" compliled by Florence McCutcheon McKee, Grand Rapids MI, dtd 1931 (Commonwealth Printing Co)

is quoted by "The Book of McKee" as follows:

MCKEE FAMILY

"ANDREW MCKEE,

born in Ireland, 1747, came to America 1757, served in Col Irvin's and Col Stewart's regiments. Enlisted June 1780 in Cpt Ziegler's Co (Stewart's Regiment) and served to close of war. He died in 1835 on the J B McKee farm, 4 miles north of Worthington on Little Buffalo Creek and was buried in the Cowansville Cemetery.................."

Goes on to say "His wife was Mary Blandford. (His pension papers at Washington reveal these facts.)"

Goes on to list children, one of whom is Thomas and who married Margaret BLAIN, and lists Thomas' children, one of whom was given as ELEANOR MCKEE (HERRON).

On this forum we are posting on, if you enter HERRON as a search word you will find several hits.

Cathy Farrell gave some marvelous info at msg 4637 and 4664 and I have one at 4804.

Perhaps you will be one of the lucky ones.

Could you give me your lineage in Joplin MO? My husband's McKee also show up there. We also have several Herron, Herrin marriages.

Good luck, Linda McKee
