7 Pennsylvania, Cumberland County, Deeds. Vol. G, 1783-1785, page 403, FHL 21049. On 17 April 1772, William McKee, Derry Township yeoman, sold to John McKee, of Carlisle Township, 100 acres for $30. The plantation and tract was on the head springs of Brightwells Run in Kishaquaquilas Valley on north side of Juniata river and bounded on north and south by Barren Hills, on east by William McKee, on west by John McKee. Witnesses were Daniel and William Moore. Recorded 26 March 1785. Document 37.

On 8 July 1772, Rodger Conner of Lancaster Township, Lancaster County, hatter, and wife Elizabeth, sold for $100, property to John McKee and Andrew McKee, both taylors [tailors] of Carlisle, Cumberland County. Tract #168 in Carlisle bounded by Hanover Street on the west, by lot #167 on south, by lot #187 on the east, and by lot 169 on the north. Containing in front on Hanover Street 60' and in depth 240' together with buildings, etc. except the fences that were made by all the tenants under me, particularly fences adjoining lot #167 which is the property of Captain Callender, which I have allowed the said tenant is to remove. McKees are tenants in common and not joint tenants, subject to yearly quit rents. Except fence made between said lot and lot on south side late in possession of Robert McKinzey. Witnesses were James Bickham, William Ross, Andrew Ross. Acknowledged 24 Nov 1772, recorded 6 Dec 1790. Document 37.
