If indeed William McKee was born in Allegheny PA then I believe he is part of the Pittsburgh McKees. McKeesport was named after one group and McKees Rocks was named after another group.
I am doing research on Samuel Sinclair who was married to Elizabeth McKee. Elizabeth McKee belongs to the McKeesport McKees.
My research is mostly based on cemetery records and old obituaries. The Nesbitt family is part of the group. I am not sure how they fit in. I always match cemetery records with historical records. If you want me to help, you must tell me what this family was doing in Pittsburgh in the early 1800's.
