As an update to my original posting, I found that my great grandfather, Andrew was born in Ontario, not Scotland. I also found a possible connection with a Duncan Mcfarlane b. abt. 1798 & a Margaret Blue b. abt. 1808. They are listed on the 1851 Census as living on the east side of the Brock Road, in Puslinch Township, Wellington County. The have a son Andrew who was 3 at the time so the timeline fits. I have also received a copy of the marriage record for Andrew Macfarlane & Harriet Wells. This document notes that Andrew's parents are Duncan & Margaret. That coupled with the fact that my grandfather's middle name was Duncan makes me think I have found my gg grandfather's family. I am now concentrating my efforts on finding out where & where Duncan & Margaret died and were buried. Regards, Lyle
