Recently found a hand drawn family tree regarding McEwen's presumably mostly in PA. Not too much information, but some as follows: John McEwen I, b 1730; m. 1759 to Jane McCullough; d. 1791. Children included: Margaret; Jane, Mary, James, Ellen, Richard, John II, and Thomas. My paternal grandmother was Sarah Francis McEwen-McElheny-McEwen b. 4/23/1878 in Allegheny County, PA; m. John H. McElheny 4/2/1903 who died 4/25/1908. She move back to the Old Homestead with her mother and family (Grandmother Smith). In about 1935 she married a distant cousin, Wallace McEwen. She lived, after leaving the Old Homestead in Bethel Church PA along the Old Washington Car Line in a house built by her brother. She died in August of 1970 in Buffalo, NY.
