I am seeking some info on my g-g-g-g-grandfather John McDonald. What I know is that he was born in 1765 in Argyllshire Scotland. He came to the USA in 1770 and lived in either Albany or Cobleskill, NY. I believe he married Lydia Pangburn (Pangborn), and had a child named Joseph. John sometimes went by "Jacob" for whatever reason. Anyone who may have info, please help!!!
