Reidsville, NC – Mrs. Cassandra Y. Newton McDaniel, of 1140 Raccoon Court, departed this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Annie Penn Memorial hospital. Mrs. McDaniel was born in Bristol, VA, to Larry Newton and Gloria English and attended Tennessee High School. She was a member of Browns Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include husband, James McDaniel of the home; son, William B. Charette and Enrique, both of the home; daughters, Turquoise Charette, Emerald McDaniel, and Diamond McDaniel, all of the home; father, Larry Newton of Bristol, VA; mother, Gloria English of Bristol, VA; grand-mother, Edna English of Bristol, VA; aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Cassandra Y. McDaniel will be conducted from the Lee Street Baptist Church on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 2 p.m., with Dr. W. A. Johnson, officiating. Interment service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Mrs. Cassandra Y. McDaniel and family are in the care of R. A.
