Thanks for the tip. I don't think the McDaniel family I am looking for was from Lynchburg. The daughter was sent to a home for unwed mothers in Lynchburg - from where I have no clue. Back in 1962 people still frowned on girls getting pregnant while they were single and many parents were ashamed, so they sent their daughters to another city, and sometimes to another state, to have their babies and then put them up for adoption.
