Hi, I am trying to find more information about the McCUE family born in Ireland, who emigrated to Strathaven/Avondale, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Stephen McCUE, b. c. 1801, married to Ann McFARLANE, deceased by 1856. - son, Hugh McCUE, b. c. 1832, married Ellen/Helen GRADY b.c. 1834 Ireland. They were married in 1856 in Hamilton, Scotland. The couple were living in Strathaven/Avondale, Lanarkshire, Scotland. - son, Michael McCUE, b. c. 1841 The family appear on the 1861 census for Avondale/Strathaven. Hugh McCUE & Ellen GRADY's children:- - Bridget McCUE, b. 1857 Strathaven/Avondale, Scotland - (Rose) Ann McCUE, b. 1858, ditto. - Stephen McCUE, b. 1860, ditto - Mary McCUE, b. 1862, ditto - Patrick McCUE, b. 1864 ditto.
