I'm looking for information on my grandfather, George McCracken who I believe was born in New Hope, Pennsylvania in the 1880s. His mother was a Buckley, she was English, and he married a Welshwoman, Gladys Watkins around 1900. Good chance that his father's name was William McCracken. George worked for the real estate department of the City of Philadelphia. He was a cavalryman in the PA National Guard, and during WW II he was an officer in the Coast Guard charged with guarding the docks in Philadelphia. George completed 8th grade and during WW II taught real estate law at the Wharton School of the U of P. Goerge and Gladys had one son, William born in 1921. It's possible that they also had a daughter who died around 1920.
