Today I received an e-mail from David R. BERRY, PFHISTCONSULTANT@aol.com, regarding this pilot. He was from Florence, South Carolina, and the grandson of Robert M., a bank president. Capt. Marion Ryan MCCOWN, Jr. was in the US Marine Corp and KIA. Apparently the authorities cannot locate his nest of kin. According to David, in 1930 Census, he probably had sisters, Aranie, b. abt 1919, and Claudia, b. abt 1921. Does anyone have any further information on this serviceman's family?
