From what source did you get your info about George L.(Leroy?) Maxson? See info I have below.
I confirm that George Maxson b.10 Oct 1756 and Anne Elizabeth Merritt gave birth to 8 children - one of whom was George Leroy Maxson b.23 Nov 1778. George Leroy married Eleanor Barber who gave birth to only two children that I can determine - Lovicia Maxson b. 25 Sep 1803 and Nathan Maxson b. 10 Feb 1808.
Nathan married Sylvia Palmer who gave birth to 6 children. George L. Maxson b. 8 Jul 1832 d. 28 Jun 1907 This is the lineage that I want to follow so I will not name the other offspring of this marriage although I have six total. The middle name of George probably was Leonard and not Leroy. (This is yet to be absolutely confirmed by me.)
George L. Maxson married Irena Adelma Brockway b.28 May 1835 on 17 Feb 1856. Offspring are:
Clinton (no information - may have died at birth)
Ida b.14 Apr 1858
Franklin b.24 Dec 1859
Cora Adell b.24 Nov 1860
Silvia Irene b.8 May 1866
George Eugene b.18 Feb 1869
Henry Orson b.16 Dec 1871
Lilli May b.21 Apr 1873
Egar Ralph b.18 Apr 1875
Nathan Vine b.12 Aug 1881 (my Grandfather)
The information about George L. and Irena Brockway is from the Brockway and Nathan Vine family Bibles in our possession. The information contained in the Bibles is confirmed (except for Clinton and Silvia) in the Mormon genealogy site. I am still working on the middle initial for George as the Bibles only list his initial L.
Incidentially, the Brockways have traced their lineage back to a William Brockway born in England about 1609 and married to Bridget Waller on 29 Jan 1628 or 29.
