My grandmother Alberta (Maxson) Bailey (b. 1897) in Atlandtic Highland, NJ. was the daughter of Bertram and Mary (Mathews) Bailey and the Granddaughter of Joseph and Carrie (Irwin) Maxson of Navesink, NJ.

Parents Bertram and Mary Maxson had children Violet, Nora, Alberta, Roy, Percy, Goldie, Mabel, and Mary.... Bert ran the ice house in Atlantic Highland for years according to Great Aunt Goldie Maxson who married James Irwin from TN......

Grandparents Joseph Sr. and Carrie Maxson had children Bertram, Lottie, Olaf, Arthur "Diddy", Joseph, Harry, Victor, and Ralph....

I estimate that my gggreat grandfather Joseph Maxson, Sr. was born about 1850-1865 in the Navesink area but cannot tie him to any of the known Maxson lines from RI that stayed in the Navesink, Shrewsbury, Atlantic Highlands area.

Would like to visit with folks who are related to this Maxson line and that can possibly help identify Joseph Sr.'s parents...

Thanks
