I'm looking for relatives of John E Mathews, born abt 1833 in Ohio, married Ruth Conn in 1854 in Homer, Morgan, Ohio. Siblings were Charlotte Mathews (married Ephraim Tryon) and Harriet Mathews (never married). In 1850 he was living with John (b.ca. 1797 in Conn.)and Penelope (b c.1800 in Virginia) Mathews, in Hocking, Ohio. These may have been his parents. In later censuses he was found living with Zachariah Mathews (b.ca 1806) in Kansas. Children of Zachariah were Catherine A Mathews (married George Nevius), Dempsey, Sarah and Leroy. I have yet to determine the relationships between John E. and John and Zachariah - father?Uncle? If anyone has any information on any of these people, I'd appreciate some insight. Thanks
